Part 6 of the Viking trail, Harg to Gimo
Start out south of the beautiful medieval Harg church. A walk through varied landscape, mostly on gravel roads.
The stretch from Harg to Gimo follows along narrow gravel roads through the lovely farmland. Old stone walls and fields can be seen along the way, remnants from the 18th and 19th century. For parts of the stretch you will walk along the old railway line that has been used for transporting iron ore to Hargshamn for shipment. Even today goods are transported to the harbour along this railway line. The scenery varies and along the route you might well see wild animals and birds.
