From Kårböle, Helgonleden follows the trail of Kårböle north, along the north-eastern beach of Ljusnan, up to the old school of Huskölen, where you can book your accommodation.

There is an old farm in Huskölen; Västigår'n, which was built in the early 17th century. You can book a guided tour of the old house. Overnight accommodation is available in the old village school. The first people who lived here came from Finland in the late 16th century. They started using the technique burn-beating (svedjebruk), that is, they burned forests and sowed rye in the ashes after the fire.
