The stage Huskölen to Ytterhogdal follows the trail of Kårböle, along Ljusnan and after this, the lakes on the north of it, up to Ytterhogdal. Here you find deep and exciting forests, mountains, meadows and small, charming villages. When you arrive in Ytterhogdal, you will find the church, shops, food and lodging, and a local cinema. The church is beautifully situated by the lake.
The stage follows the trail of Kårböle with its beautiful nature scenery along the river Ljusnan. The villages are situated like a string of pearls along the water. In the river Storån, a power plant was built in the late 50's / early 60's. At this time, Ljusnan was dammed up and became a "lake". In the middle of Storån, there is a windshield about 50 meters from the road out on a headland. This is an excellent place to rest, and it is open for everyone.
After the bridge in Flor, the trail follows the old country road through the forests to Ytterhogdal. In Ytterhogdal, there is a church, a shop, food and accommodation.
An older writing says:
“At the village of Flor there was a spot for wading and rafting across the river Hoaån, and the road continued on Hoaån's west shore past Hoakvarn. A bit down from the mill, the stream Osbäcken flows down into the river. It is said that the wayfarers should throw a coin into the brook, and therefore this was a so-called ‘stream of sacrifice’”.
